Crystal Quest 7 stage stainless steel countertop fluoride water filter plus has a cartridge to remove fluoride, lead and arsenic from your drinking water.

It also has a 6 stage cartridge with KDF 55 and KDF 85 media in it to remove heavy metals, and a coconut shell carbon media to remove hundreds of chemical contaminants.

The 6 stage cartridge also has an ion exchange resin to reduce or remove more heavy metals and water hardness. It also has a pre and post 1 micron filter pads to remove any un-dissolved matter.

The 6 Stage Cartridge will filter for 10,000 gallons and the fluoride cartridge will filter for 1,500 gallons on average

The 1st stage water flows through a fluoride removal cartridge containing fine-mesh pre-resin media to reduce fluorides below 0.5 ppm. That contains synthetic aluminum oxide absorbent media, specifically designed to have a high affinity for fluoride, Lead and Arsenic. Read more on fluoride and lead removal media

2nd and 7th stage water flows through a pre and post one micron filter pads to remove suspended particles like silt, sediment, cyst (Giardia, Cryptosporidium), sand, rust, dirt and any other un-dissolved matter.

3rd and 4th stage water flow through a KDF 55 and KDF 85 media to remove or reduce chlorine and heavy metals like lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, aluminum and other dissolved metals. Read more about KDF 55 and KDF 85

In stage 5 water flows through granulated coconut shell activated carbon to remove chlorine, (THM’s benzene) pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) PCB’s, MTBE’s and hundreds of other chemical contaminants the might be in your drinking water causing bad taste and odors. 6th stage water flows through an ion exchange resins, to reduce or remove heavy metals like lead, copper, aluminum and water hardness. Read more about ion exchange resin

Capacity is up to 11,000 ppm with effluent levels below 0.2 ppm from 10 ppm feed. Note: high pH and high bicarbonate levels reduce capacity - above 100 ppm bicarbonate, reduction by 50%; above 200 ppm, reduction by 75%.
