The Crystal Quest 8 stage stainless steel countertop fluoride removal water filter plus has 3 cartridges, it has a cartridge that has a fine-mesh pre-resin media to remove fluorides below 0.5 ppm.

It also has a coconut shell solid carbon cartridge to remove volatile organic carbon compounds and industrial solvents.

Then water flows through a 6 stage cartridge with pre and post 1 micron filter pads to remove any un-dissolved matter and a KDF 55 and KDF 85 media to remove or reduce dissolved heavy metals and chlorine.

Then water goes through a coconut shell granulated carbon to remove volatile organic compounds, chlorine, bad taste and hundreds of other chemical contaminants.

Then there is an ion exchange resins to remove or reduce heavy metals like lead, copper, aluminum and water hardness. Results you will have great tasting contaminant free drinking water for you and your family for 1 to 3 years before you have to replace the cartridges.

The 6 Stage filter filters for 10,000 gal and the carbon block filter will filter for 12 to 18 months and the fluoride cartridge will filter for 1,500 gallons on average

The 1st stage water flows through a coconut shell solid carbon cartridge to remove or reduce volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC’s) insecticides, pesticides, and industrial solvents.

The 2nd stage water flows through a fluoride removal cartridge containing fine-mesh pre-resin media to reduce fluorides below 0.5 ppm. 3rd and 8th stage water flows through a pre and post one micron filter pads to remove suspended particles like silt, sediment, cyst (Giardia, Cryptosporidium), sand, rust, dirt and any other un-dissolved matter.

In stage 7 water flows through granulated coconut shell activated carbon to remove chlorine, (THM’s benzene) pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) PCB’s, MTBE’s and hundreds of other chemical contaminants the might be in your drinking water causing bad taste and odors. Capacity is up to 11,000 ppm with effluent levels below 0.2 ppm from 10 ppm feed. Note: high pH and high bicarbonate levels reduce capacity - above 100 ppm bicarbonate, reduction by 50%; above 200 ppm, reduction by 75%.
